BERNAVILLE Nurseries held two festive late-night shopping evenings on Wednesday, November 12 and Thursday, November 13.

Patrons enjoyed listening to live music at the family-owned Cowley garden centre as they browsed and sampled local food and drink courtesy of Devon Valley Honey and Lyme Bay winery.

There were fun giveaways with Radio Exe, a charity raffle in aid of Exeter Leukaemia Fund (ELF), and festive snacks were served in the Lily Pond restaurant and Mezzanine Café.

“Our annual late-night festive evenings are one of the highlights of the year for us,” said Bernaville Nurseries owner Tony Jackson.

“As a family-run garden centre, we love seeing the whole community come together.

“Parents, kids, grandparents all enjoying the lights, local suppliers, the fantastic music and a bit of Christmas magic.

“It’s our way of giving something back to the people who’ve supported us throughout the seasons.”

Bernaville Nurseries is the ideal place for Christmas shopping. It is open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday and from 10.30am to 4.30pm on Sundays.

Decorations, gift wrap, lighting, food and more are available to purchase.

The garden centre has been given a festive makeover and has a variety of Christmas-themed rooms, including “The Masked Ball”, “Country Christmas”, “’Twas the Night”, and “Sweet Circus”, all meticulously decorated in different styles.

A spokesperson said: “Browse all six of our Christmas themes in store, we’re open seven days a week!

“Step into our Christmas wonderland and see all our themes in person.”

Children can also post letters to the North Pole in Santa’s post box in the plant area.

If your child would like a reply from Santa, please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope inside their letter. The last postal date to receive a reply is Sunday, December 14.
