A FRENCH week held at Hayward's Primary School, Crediton, was a resounding success and saw the children learn not only about the country's culture, but also about the language, pastimes and eating habits!

Activities included learning to count and speak in French and they also made croissants and hot chocolate.

They also learned about French artists and painting in art classes and about the country in geography classes.

Teacher, Mrs Noreen Faulkner, also taught year six children to play boules/petanque on the Town Square, which was greatly enjoyed.
