A FLOWER Festival, in celebration of “All things Cheriton Fitzpaine” was held in May at St Matthew’s Church, Cheriton Fitzpaine to raise funds for the ongoing work at the church. Alice May, church warden and a member of the Friends of St Matthew’s, said: “The Friends of St Matthew’s would like to thank everyone who helped and supported the recent Flower Festival. 

“Who knew there was so much hidden talent and creativity amongst all those organisations within the village?  As well as spectacular arrangements all around the church, delicious home-made cakes, tasty quiches and salads along with cream teas were available all day. 

“Wonderful enthusiasm from so many, created an extremely enjoyable and sociable event which raised £1,100 to help with the ongoing maintenance of the church. 

“Thank you everyone!”
