DEVON County Council has announced that the Punchbowl (Crediton) Household Waste Recycling Centre will be closed for maintenance works (re-surfacing) from Wednesday, March 24 to Sunday, March 28 inclusive.

A council spokesperson said: “Due to the nature and scale of the works, and to ensure the work is done safely, the recycling centre will be temporarily closed for that duration.  We apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused.”

SUMMER HOURS

Devon County Council has also said that in light of the recent increase in demand, the Summer Opening hours (which usually come into effect from April 1) have been brought forward and are now in operation at all Devon County Council recycling centres across the county.

The new opening hours (excluding the closure period) are now: Monday to Friday: 9am – 5pm and Saturday and Sunday: 10am – 6pm.

The council spokesperson added: “We hope that this will help reduce queue times some residents have been experiencing. Thank you in advance for your patience and as always, please be courteous and follow guidance from site staff to ensure a smooth visit."
