Get fit and have fun
running
EVERY year thousands of women take part in the Race for Life to remember loved ones and to celebrate those who have survived breast cancer.
The groups are organised by the Women's Running Network who give women, whatever their age, size or ability the opportunity to run together to improve their health, fitness and confidence in the safety of a group.
The Network was set up in Exeter in 1998 by Pauline Beare and Peggy Wiseman and has built up to a national network of running groups that cater for the complete beginner upwards, are non competitive and are an excellent way of having fun and socialising.
The sessions build up from walking to jogging to running, building up to 5k
Runners can enter the Race for Life at Killerton on July, 5 or at Westpoint on July, 19
The new groups will begin on Tuesday, April 21 meeting at Lord's Meadow Leisure Centre with one group starting at 9.15am and the other starting at 5.45pm.
The morning group will be led by Nora Parminter who can be contacted on 07891 112 959 or by email at nora.parminter @virgin.net.
The evening group will be led by Izzy Watkins who can be contacted on (01363) 774741 or by email at [email protected]">[email protected].
