FIREARMS officers from Devon and Cornwall Police were called to an incident in Crediton on Thursday, July 21.
Police Sgt Dave MacFadden told the “Courier” that a member of the public had reported a male with a knife at an address in Buller Road, Crediton.
He explained that, because a weapon was involved, “appropriate units were deployed to attend, which included firearms officers.”
He continued: “The units located the man and spoke to him at length.
“They did so in a peaceful and non-aggressive manner and the situation was then quickly resolved.”
He added: “No criminal offences were committed and the male was removed from the area to a relative’s house outside of Crediton.”
He also added that no weapons were engaged.
