THE May meeting of Mid Devon Farming Life Group was a visit to Mole Avon Country Stores in Crediton.

We started with a minute’s silence in memory of the late Margaret Down (Beer Farm) a lovely lady, good friend and supporter of our farming group.

We had a very informative evening about the business, with changes on climate change and advanced technology and AI platform and what to expect moving forward for their

business and customers.

Glyn Comont gave the thanks. Refreshments followed.

A big thank you to the Mole Avon staff on the night Dave Horton, Alison Stoyle and Louis Delling for their talks and hospitality.

There was a very good attendance.

It was really encouraging to have so many people comment how much they enjoy the new friendships and community spirit of the Mid Devon Farming Life Group

at these events. The comments are much appreciated.

The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 24 with the speaker being Trevor Wayborn, the owner of the "Sheep Show" a mobile show promoting British sheep and wool at county shows and this year’s winner of the Farming Champion Award.

Please arrive at 7pm for 7.30pm start at the Waie Inn, Zeal Monachorum, EX17 6DF.
