Paul and Tara Conabeare created a splendid display featuring a range of Superheroes, nurses, police, services personnel and other "heroes" alongside Christmas decorations.
It was the public who voted for the best shop or business window displays this year, "Crediton Courier" readers having returned the voting forms.
The Evans Newsagents window received the most votes, and this year the competition saw a record number of entries from members of the public.
The Rosebowl for the Best Dressed Window was presented by Alan Quick, Editorial Manager at the “Crediton Courier”.
Tara said: "We are totally thrilled to have received the most votes and won the competition.
"It is very special to us because we have never won it before and this is likely to be our last year as we are in the process of selling the business and hope to welcome the new owners in mid January.
"I would like to thank Hollie Dommett, Nick Ashweek and Sheila Job and the Hot Pins Knitting Group for all their help with the window display.
"Thank you to the ’Crediton Courier’ for running the competition."
The theme of Christmas in Crediton this year was Superheroes.
Second prize went to the window display at The Bookery which included many Christmas-themed books, lights and decorations. It was created by Claire Lewis, administrator at The Bookery.
In third place was the display in the window of the Hospiscare charity shop, which included a snow scene with Snowman and letterbox.
Highly Commended were Grape and Grain wine merchants, A E Lee (Outfitters) and Bedford and Co.
Certificates were presented to all of the businesses with the best windows and prizes, sponsored by the "Crediton Courier", were presented to the first, second and third winners.
