AN eight-year-old girl has read as many as 50 books in just two years in a library reading challenge.
In recognition of her achievement, Esme has received a Secret Book Quest certificate from Crediton Library.
She has particularly enjoyed reading the Treehouse book series by Andy Griffiths and Terry Denton.
She plans to read a further 50 books to reach a total of 100 to get a gold certificate.

A fun and free way to get children reading, the Secret Book Quest involves reading a set number of books, collecting stickers and deciphering a code.
Children can sign up for the challenge at their local library.
