THE Crediton Branch of the Royal British Legion is marking a proud milestone this year as it celebrates its 100th anniversary.

A special centenary event will be held at Downes on Saturday, June 20 from 2pm to 5pm, and all are invited.

Visitors can look forward to a lively and welcoming day, with performances from the Town Band as well as other local musical groups.

Downes House, with its beautiful gardens and surrounding landscape, will provide a fitting backdrop for the celebrations.

Refreshments will be available, although attendees are also encouraged to take their own picnics and make the most of the stunning surroundings.

The branch was established in 1926, supporting veterans and their families while keeping the spirit of remembrance alive.

Admission is free.
