THE beautiful landscaped gardens at Sherwood, Newton St Cyres (EX5 5BT) will open to the public through the National Garden Scheme on Sunday, April 26 and Sunday, June 7, from 1pm to 5pm.

Explore 23 acres with two steep wooded valleys flowing with wild flowers, and spring bulbs, especially daffodils.

Enjoy a wonderful wander amongst the extensive collections of magnolias, camellias, rhododendrons, azaleas, berberis, heathers, maples, cotoneasters, buddleias, hydrangeas, cornus and epimedium.

Regrettably no dogs are permitted. Suitable footwear is required due to areas of steep terrain.

Refreshments will be available for purchase, but picnics can also be enjoyed in the gardens.
