THE Boniface Concert Society is truly delighted to announce an exciting live concert after these long months of lockdown!

On Sunday, September 20, the Society presents a musical feast – a solo concert from the outstanding young harpist, Elizabeth Bass, whose repertoire includes Handel, Scarlatti, Faure, Debussy, and Liszt as well as pioneering modern composers.

Elizabeth was the first British musician to reach the final of the USA Harp Competition, where she was awarded the Silver Medal. She has also won other prestigious international awards.

Elizabeth studied in London and Helsinki (under Sivan Magen) and she has built a successful career, freelancing with leading orchestras including the BBC Symphony, the Royal Philharmonic, and the City of Birmingham Symphony (CBSO), and playing solo in the Royal Albert Hall, Birmingham Town Hall and St John’s Smith Square.

Elizabeth’s Concert will take place at 3pm, in Crediton Parish Church.

Concert arrangements will strictly follow the latest Covid guidance, which means that audience numbers will be limited, and face-coverings will be required except where individuals are exempt.

The tickets, priced at £14 for adults (free for under-18s accompanied by an adult) can be obtained from A E Lee Outfitters in the High Street, or from: [email protected] .

Tickets are also available online from: ticketsource.co.uk , with a small handling fee (search for Ticket Source Elizabeth Bass Crediton) or at the door, numbers permitting.

St Boniface Concert Society is a local charity dedicated to bringing top-flight musicians to play live in Crediton for the enjoyment of all.
