THE second yearly “Eco-Crafternoon” has been held in Crediton.

Organised by Knowle-based Significant Seams and Sustainable Crediton, it took place at the Boniface Centre on Saturday, November 29.

The event featured sustainable and handmade gifts, art and craft supply give-and-take tables, workshops and demonstrations, cakes, hot drinks and more.

The aim of the event was to “kick off the gift-giving and making season with ecological values”.

Workshops available included needle-felting, gift-wrap making, and wreath-making with the Turning Tides Project.

There were demonstrations of how to make a traditional woven beehive, Stone Age style, clothing and tools, and willow-basket making.

The event was inspired by the Sustainable Crediton Seed Share, in which people can swap seeds, browse various stalls and enjoy refreshments.
