RESIDENTS, their families and staff at Hillbrow Residential Care Home, Crediton had a fun time at Easter.
It started on Good Friday with the Easter draw for resident’s funds. The first prize of a large basket of chocolate Easter eggs went to resident, Talbot Pratt. A total of £172 was raised for the resident’s fund. The fund is managed by the residents who decide how they wish to spend it.
On Easter Monday there was an Easter bonnet competition which was really well supported by residents, their families and friends. All the bonnets had been made by the residents. Those who were unable to make theirs alone were supported by their key worker or family.
Two people from the Lions Club very kindly came to judge the best three Easter bonnets. Much fun was had by everyone. The first prize went to Kathleen Cartlidge and key worker Rosannah Hasler. Kathleen had knitted Easter chicks for her bonnet.
The second prize went to Nesta Payne and third prize to Charlotte Dyer.
Both events were followed by a buffet tea.
