PROFESSIONAL singer Radoslav Trifonov (22), from Crediton, will be entertaining people in Crediton High Street at the Jackson’s Entrance from 4pm on November 26 as part of the Christmas in Crediton celebrations.

Rado was born in 1994 in Bulgaria into a family of musicians.

From the age of six years he began to study singing, and has since taken part in many concerts and events, appeared on reality TV programmes and appeared in national and international competitions, winning numerous awards and scholarships.

At the age of 16 he started studying pop and jazz singing and piano in high school, Emilian Stanev in Veliko Tarnovo.

He trained with one of the best vocal teachers in Bulgaria - Petya Krasteva (vocal coach in the first edition of “Music Idol Bulgaria”).

After completing high school he was successfully admitted to the University of Veliko Tarnovo with musical pedagogy.

Not long after he decided to cancel his studies at the university for a while and seek realisation abroad as a singer on ships and in hotels.

His family moved to England, Rado moving with them and he started going to auditions in London.

Rado explained: “In 2015 I signed my first professional contract with a cruise company as a singer, where I gained a lot of experience.

“I met many friends and visited many beautiful and interesting places.

“I have been to Greece, Turkey, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Barbados, Jamaica, St Lucia, Cuba and others.

“In 2016 I signed a contract with the hotel chain in Greece as a singer in shows. I worked with a great team of dancers and singers from all over England, made a lot of friends and met people from many different nationalities, gaining even more experience on stage.”

Rado says he hopes people will enjoy the songs he will be singing for the Christmas in Crediton event, which will include a wide range of popular music.

In the future Rado hopes to sing locally at events and for parties, etc before he returns to his professional work overseas and in hotels again.
