ALTHOUGH things had to be done a little differently this year, Copplestone Primary School had a fantastic time celebrating World Book Day.

On the day, children at home and in school dressed up as their favourite book characters and shared these via class Teams meetings.

They also linked up with Crediton Community Bookshop, which shared some of its recommended titles via a Zoom chat.

A huge thank you went to the PTFA, which purchased a set of the recommended reads for the school library.

Children also took part in a "Book Faces" competition, where they had to become part of a book cover. The Book Faces winners received prizes which were kindly donated by the Crediton Tesco superstore.
