THE last two issues of the “Courier” have demonstrated how concerned people are about the closures of vital services in Crediton - especially the Council Offices.

While sharing these concerns wholeheartedly, I am astonished that people are complaining about cuts in services and even blaming these closures on the inefficiency of Mid Devon District Council.

In the General Election in May, the country elected a Government that was promising to make many more cuts to public services than those already made. What else did they expect?
