A “VERY vintage picnic” has been held in Crediton to celebrate the 80th anniversary of VE Day.

The event on Saturday, May 10 drew crowds of people with their picnic blankets to Newcombes Meadow.

There was a bar, food and craft stalls, a falconry display, vintage tractors courtesy of Mid Devon Tractor Engine and Machinery Group, a barrel piano, balloon modelling and more.
