JUDGING of some of the best gardens and allotments in Crediton, entrants in the 2013 Crediton Town Council Floral Crediton competition, was in July.

Entrants are now eagerly awaiting the announcement of the results and presentation of trophies, which will take place next Thursday, September 19.

Results of the Allotment Competition winners have been announced.

Winners were: Exhibition Road – 1 David Prosser (Allotment E5B), 2 Richard Dunn E25A, 3 Mr Roberts E14A/15A.

Barnfield Road – equal 1 – Alan and Maggie Stewart B10a and B9AA, 2 Norman Snell B13A, equal 3 Penni Tearle B6A and Colin Acott B5A.

Moffat's Land – W Stevens M4.

Judges Special Commendations – David Prosser E5B – Best Plot Overall/Judges Favourite, Sally Wilson E6AA – Best New Plotholder/Starter.

Highly Commended: Exhibition Road – Bert Jewell E2, Mr D Spear E3B, Mr Kingdom E16, Mr Hemmings E4B.

Barnfield – Tony Sampson B14A, Anne Smith B7A, Michael Wreford B4A.
