THE charity Devon Communities Together will hold its Rural Futures Conference entitled "At the Heart of the Community", at the Boniface Centre in Crediton on Saturday, June 28.

The day will feature a wealth of informative talks and workshops aimed at village halls and other community buildings, sports and play organisations and local councillors.

The day is designed to inspire and support those organisations at the heart of Devon’s communities to thrive. 

Workshops for the day, are: Designing for play, Fire safety in public buildings, Funding your community project, Greening your energy, Hallmark – delivering quality, Halls working in partnership, Legal services, Preparing for major works and Training for village hall trustees.

There will be a number of specially-selected exhibitors in a marketplace and the DCT team will be highlighting the full range of products and services that it provides to communities throughout Devon.

Tickets for the event, which runs from 10am to 4pm, are priced at £11.25 for DCT members and £21.91 for non-members.
