CREDITON textile artist Esme Cooper will be taking part in Devon Open Studios, where artist members open their studios and homes across the county to showcase their work to the public.
Esme launched her own website selling her hand printed work a couple of years ago and had now decided to open her workshop and to start offering Screenprinting workshops into the process she loves.
She persuaded her husband to convert a much neglected wooden building in their garden which was being used as a glorified junk room into a super light airy work room from which she now creates her prints.
Esme says inspiration for her work comes from the colours and shapes seen in her garden and also from her walks around the Devon countryside accompanied by her collie dog, Ziggy.
If you are interested in seeing more of Esme’s work then her workshop will be open during Devon Open Studios on September 10, 11, 16, 17, 18, 23, 24 and 25 from 11am to 6pm and during the evening of Thursday, September 22 from 6pm to 8pm.
The studio can be found at 3 Lynwood Terrace, High Street, Crediton.
Esme added that if anyone is interested in learning the process of Screenprinting then they are welcome to contact via her website: www.esmecooper.co.uk , where bookings can be made for courses and works can also be purchased.
