WITH proceeds from their concert at Yeoford on Saturday, May 21, Crediton Singers have raised more than £1,500 for the British Red Cross Ukraine Appeal in three concerts - Cheriton Fitzpaine, Crediton and now Yeoford.

Their latest concert was a great success and they were joined by Yeoford School’s Junior Singers, the Supergroup, with their Leader Alice Moseley with Sandy Chenore.

At the afternoon concert in Yeoford Community Hall, Singers’ Musical Director, Tim Matthews, was at the piano and solos were played by QE School student, Willem Snowden.  Devorah Langford read a Ukrainian poem and David and Barbara Greenwood sang and played solos.

This small and friendly choir rehearses on Monday evenings from 7pm to 9pm in the downstairs hall at Crediton Methodist Church.  New singers are very welcome to go along and join in.

Singing in a choir has been shown to have many benefits and to improve health and happiness, so why not give it a go?

As it says on the Crediton Singers’ website: “You’ll make friends, you’ll have fun and you’ll help raise much-needed money for local charities.  It’s all good!”
