A TOTAL of 50 Crediton Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Leaders camped out in their gardens for their annual Group Camp from Friday, July 17 to Sunday, July 19.

Scout Isaac Olsson, explained: “Despite not being able to camp at Downes like we would usually, we did our annual group camp at home.

“Over the weekend we completed a challenge for each colour of the rainbow including making camp gadgets and water filters and an input to one of our three zoom meetings.

“At one of these zooms we, unfortunately, said goodbye to our incredible Group Scout Leader Debbie.

“We had loads of fun doing the camp activities, sleeping in tents and talking with each other on zoom.

“It felt like we were all there together even though we were all at our separate homes. We are all looking forward to getting back to our normal meetings but we do need a new Scout Leader to come and join the fun!”
