THE First Crediton Scouts will operate their Christmas postal service in Crediton town only again this year.

By kind permission of many shops and businesses, postal boxes and stamp buying facilities will be available from Saturday, November 12.

The post boxes will be located at the Courier office, Landscore Stores, Bradleys estate agents, Mole Avon Town and Countrywear, Treloars Delicatessen, upstairs at Crediton Town Council office, Market Street, the Community Hall at Clifford Gardens and at Lewis’s DAR on Lords Meadow Industrial Estate.

The stamps cost just 25p. No outlying villages are included in the delivery area.

The boxes will be in place until Friday, December 16 when all the cards will be collected and posted by the Scouts and Leaders.

Last year the Scout postal service was declared a big success, raising much-needed Scout funds from more than 1,000 cards delivered.
