RESIDENTS in the Glen Creedy Court area of Crediton, say they are fed up with painting over graffiti which keeps being placed all over walls which back on to their properties.

The issue was highlighted by Crediton resident Ruth Preater-Gillard, who said: “I can’t believe someone has vandalised this wall by putting tacky graffiti all over it.

“I bet the residents are annoyed as they have to paint over it.”

The wall, alongside the footpath, which runs between Mill Street and Hawkins Way, has been sprayed with “tags” by many people.

Jamie Chapman commented on “Facebook”: “As soon as it’s painted, it gets graffitied on.

“So annoying, looks awful. I don’t understand why people think they can do that on private property.”

Ruth added: “I was really disgusted to see it.

“There are some selfish people around.”

Crediton Town Council discussed the issue at its full council meeting on Tuesday evening.

During the meeting it was noted that the graffiti has been reported to Mid Devon District Council.
