CREDITON and District Lions Club has presented more gifts to people to cheer them up.

The Club presented 50 miniature roses to Age Concern Crediton to distribute to 50 of its elderly clients recently.

It has now presented dozens of pots of Hyacinths to the Crediton Talking News listeners.

More than 50 people receive the Crediton Talking News, recorded from the "Crediton Courier" by Lions Club members and friends, each week.

The branch president, Peter Bryan, said that it was a gesture to cheer people up during this time of isolation.

He added: "The roses recently delivered to Age Concern clients have resulted in a number of thank you’s.

"The Lions are pleased to be able to provide a little relief for those needing it at this time."
