A 77-year-old Crediton grandmother, has completed an exhilarating paraglide from the top of a mountain at Mayrhofen in Austria.

June Chudley, who was seated in front of an instructor, said it was the first time she had completed a paraglide.

She explained that the instructor gave her “great confidence” when the jumped off the mountain edge and glided down more than 2,000 metres for around 30 minutes.

June said she was able to enjoy the exhilarating glide and see some amazing scenery.

Her son, and grandson, also did the paraglide.

However, June added, that when she went up the mountain the following day, and looked down where she had glided, she shook like a leaf!
