THE Crediton Good Afternoon Choir performed a Christmas Concert with the children of Hayward’s Primary School in Crediton Congregational Church on Tuesday, December 12.

The concert was in support of the charity Blue Sky Thinking.  Blue Skye Thinking supports research into the treatment of childhood brain tumours, striving to give all children diagnosed, a better chance of survival and improved quality of life during and post treatment. Run by volunteers, money donated goes directly to the forefront of research and wellbeing projects.

The church looked really great with all its Christmas lights, and was an ideal setting for the concert of Christmas music.

It was well attended by friends of members of the choir, and lots of parents and family of Hayward’s children.

The children sang several Christmas songs including “O Holy Night”, “Mince Pies!” and “Where’s Rudolph?”.

One of the choir members said: “The choir would really like to thank Jon Rawles for his excellent musicianship, his wonderful sense of humour, and above all his patience.

“We have really enjoyed our term with him, and we can’t be too bad as he’s coming back for more next term!

“This was the end of term meeting for the Crediton Good Afternoon choir, and we start again on January 9.

“Anyone who would like to sing with us next year is more than welcome to come along.”
