A BIG Breakfast run by the Crediton fundraising group of Exeter Leukaemia Fund (ELF) was a huge success.
Jan Martin said that the record number of cooked breakfasts served and cooked by members were 131, plus sandwiches and extra toasts - a truly wonderful achievement by the team.
The cake stall with many of the cakes made by Richard Mason and Christine Stevens, did well and raised £184.
The competition to name a delightful and cuddly Teddy Bear was run by Murial Ford, and won by Tim, this raised £57.
Maggie and Mick Waltho were kept busy making toast, and Chairman Nick Cordwent took the entry cash which amounted £660. With donations the total raised was a record £956.
Nick and Jan both gave tribute to all their helpers and to those who went along to support and enjoy a delicious meal, with great support from residents of Copplestone, which proved to be a great social and friendly event.
