THE February meeting of Crediton Flower Club was well attended.

Our demonstrator, Sue, had had to postpone her visit in January due to the snow, but was fortunately able to come to us from Berrynarbour, North Devon

Her topic was "Romantic Melodies" and we were delighted to see that she was accompanied by Stuart, the organist from her Parish Church at Westward Ho! who had brought with him a keyboard to accompany her with tunes from Dr. Zhivago and My Fair Lady.

We were even more delighted when Sue (a widow) announced that Stuart had proposed to her on Christmas Eve and she had accepted!

This set the tone for the evening and much of the talk revolved around wedding outfits, flowers and music.  Each of Sue's six arrangements were very different, varying from the traditional to the more modern and made good use of winter foliage.

Jane Bailey gave the vote of thanks, prior to coffee and chat.

The next meeting will be on Thursday, March 11 at 7.15pm, in the Boniface Centre, when Julia Harrison will be the demonstrator with the theme:  "It's Still Fun".
