THE Welcoming Refugees in Crediton group is collecting at the East Town Cafe in Crediton, until the end of June, items of clothing and essential items to be sent to refugees in need.

Donations of items can be taken to the cafe and are then transferred to a warehouse in Taunton where they are sorted, packed and taken to wherever the need is greatest.

Items currently needed are lighter weight clothing and shoes, all in good, clean and practical condition.

Also needed are clothes for all sizes, but especially children and small and medium adult sizes.

Blankets, sleeping bags, tents, unopened toiletries, medicines, nappies and wipes and non-perishable vegetarian food are all desperately needed.
