LADIES' CHAMPIONS

CONGRATULATIONS to the three Crediton ladies' bowling team squads who have won the Exeter and District League - the Over 50's Triples League and the Non-Badged Triples League.

This is the first time the club has achieved the treble.

Crediton also reached the semi-finals of the Devon Inter-club where they were beaten by Kings, Torquay, bowling club who were the eventual winners of the competition.

They intend to celebrate their achievements with a lunch at Il Casita at the end of the month.

BEREAVEMENT

Club members were saddened to learn of the death of Mrs Nicky Gollop. Nicky and her late husband Ernie were highly respected members of Crediton Bowling Club for a long period of time.

They also played indoor bowls at Exonia, Exeter and Mid-Devon, Tiverton.

Crediton club members send their condolences to Nicky's family.

FORTHCOMING EVENTS

Members are reminded that the AGM will take place in the Clubhouse on Friday, November 20 starting at 7.30pm.

The annual presentation dinner and night will be held at the Waie Inn, Zeal Monachorum, on Friday, November 27.

The principle guest speaker will be Frank Davies of Braunton Bowling Club, who is the President of the men's Devon County Bowling Association.
