A NEW feature at this year’s Mid Devon Show is being sponsored by Mole Avon Country Stores of Crediton, Okehampton and Axminster.

Mole Avon is sponsoring a new picnic area for families where people will be able to sit and eat or just relax at the Show.

It has donated 10 large picnic benches, which the staff and Show officers volunteered to put together.

Mole Avon has also donated 250 hi-vis vests for the 250 Show volunteers to wear on the day.

The Country Stores, which has supplied the farmer, smallholder and rural communities across Devon and the South West for more than 40 years, will also be providing some volunteers to help at the Show and some large selfie frames to go around the Show.

The three stores are selling tickets for the Show and Mole Avon has also given a 15 per cent off voucher which goes into each member and exhibitor pack.

John Lee, chairman of the board at Mole Avon, has been elected as President of this year’s Mid Devon Show.

He said he was looking forward to a great day out at the Show and added that the Show’s chosen charity would be FORCE, the cancer support charity.

Mole Avon is in the process of building a new £5 million store at Wellparks, near the Crediton Tesco store.

Mid Devon Show officers were recently invited to tour the new store, which is due to open in September.
