MEMBERS of the Crediton and District Labour Party branch were campaigning in the town in support of the NHS and for a judicial review to stop Secretary of State for Health and Social Care Jeremy Hunt and NHS England from introducing new commercial, non-NHS bodies to run health and social services without proper public consultation and without full Parliamentary scrutiny, on Saturday, February 3.
They were also canvassing for signatures for a second time in support of local resident Linda Jones’ petition to save the Crediton Council Offices from being sold on the open market by Mid Devon District Council.
They feel it is important to keep the council offices and the services it supplies to residents and local community groups that use the facility.
The members would also urge anyone who has not yet signed the petition to visit the Council Offices and sign the petition.
