The event took place during National Air Ambulance Week, which aims to highlight the life-saving work done by all trusts across the country. In return for a donation, visitors staff and visitors at the builders merchants Crediton branch were able to enjoy a delicious scone, cream and jam.
Tracy Owen, Fundraising Manager at Devon Air Ambulance Trust, commented: “RGB has raised a significant amount with their cream teas and we’re incredibly grateful to them.
“Devon’s Air Ambulances are very much an essential part of the community we live in and the service would not be possible without the generous support and donations we receive from local businesses. We look forward to continue to build our relationship with RGB and supporting them with their fundraising.”
Adrian Borchardt, Branch Manager at RGB Crediton, added: “The region is renowned for its cream teas and the amount of money raised really shows how popular they are. It was interesting to see whether we could put an end to the age old debate of whether it’s cream or jam first and, at our branch, we had a mix!
“We’d like to thank everyone who visited and made a donation.”
