FIREFIGHTERS rescued two people and a dog stuck in a car in floodwater at Bridge Reeve near Chulmleigh this morning, Saturday, January 30.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service was called to attend at 10.51am and crews from North Tawton and South Molton attended.

On arrival crews confirmed that the car was stuck in approximately two foot of water, with both occupants and a dog still inside. 

The firefighters used flood suits to reach the occupants and guide them to safety. 

Today, Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service also rescued people stuck in vehicles in floodwater at Whitford and Colyton.
