NEWTON St Cyres Parish Council has agreed to recognise the outstanding contributions that some parishioners make to their community.

A Roll of Honour will be kept and the individual will receive a framed certificate.

The parish council says it is aware that there are a number of people in the parish who make a significant contribution to the life of the parish.

It says nominees must live within the parish or within three miles of the parish boundary and must have made a significant contribution to the parish.

Nominations are being sought and must be submitted with details of the contribution they have made to the community.

Nominations need to be with the parish clerk by February each year.

Nominations will be considered at the March meeting of the parish council and the winner will be announced at the Annual Parish Meeting in April.

Please let the clerk, Mrs Jane Hole, have your nominations for this year by February 4, 2016.
