COPPLESTONE Youth Panel organised a successful trip to Kart-World in South Devon at the end of last month.

Members of the Youth Panel took part in a race event.

This was a result of various fund raising activities members have taken part in in previous months.

Events included a sponsored walk, cake sale and sponsored car wash.

When the Youth Panel was founded last year, the Copplestone youngsters were asked for suggestions as to what they would like to do.

A go karting event was top of the list.

All those who took part in the fund raising events received concessions on the cost of go karting in recognition of their hard work and contribution.

Following on from the success of go karting, a combined sponsored car wash and cake sale has been organised and will take place between 9.30am and noon on Saturday, April 4.

This will take place, by kind permission, on Copplestone Methodist Church car park.

All money raised at this event will go towards organising an outing to Skirmish paintball, the next activity on the list.

Crediton PC Keith Bradshaw and PCSO Lisa Crocker told the Courier that they would like to say a big "thank you" to everyone who has contributed to helping with the organisation and running of the Youth Panel or contributed to the funding.
