PEOPLE local to the Moorlake area have mostly lost count of the number of times a wrecked bit of road has been repaired.
It is more than a pothole. It began as that but it seems each time the surface is repaired, it soon creates a bigger hole and more holes that could smash a vehicle if the driver was unwary to the ways of this patch of road.

This is the road over a bridge at Moorlake on the road between Crediton and Yeoford. There is no way to avoid this patch of potholes.
Each time we have a good shower of rain or worse, more grit washes down over the blocked drains, adding to the problem.
One comment on the Yeoford Hub was: “We have a legal responsibility to make sure our vehicles are fit for the road, what a joke when the roads are wrecking our cars.”
Another said: “Went over it today, the potholes are actually worse than before, nearly lost the front end of my car, totally unacceptable of Devon County Council to leave the road in the state it is.”
It is a patch of road that is becoming notorious, with help being sought from Crediton Hamlets Parish Council.
Because of the Bank Holiday, the next meeting of Hamlets will be on Tuesday, January 2 at Yeoford Community Hall. Members of the public can attend, time is set aside if anyone wishes to speak to the council.
