COLDRIDGE Knit and Natter Group recently celebrated its 10th anniversary with a meeting at a member’s house where members were joined by Mr Noel Parry, former head teacher at Lapford Primary School, who led the group in prayer and gave an appropriate Bible reading.
The meeting was followed by a sociable lunch at The Devonshire Dumpling.
Treasurer, Mrs Pat Burr, provided a list of those that the group has supported, either by sending money or knitted items of clothing or bedding.
Countries that the group has helped include Moldova, Nepal, Lesotho, Rwanda, Madagascar, and charities in the UK. Shoe Boxes are also filled before Christmas and sent to Bulgaria.
The Group includes just 10 people but it produces quality items, and in great quantity at its fortnightly meetings.
