A COFFE morning, in aid of the Macmillan Cancer Support, was recently held in Coldridge, at the home of Helen and John Smith. The event was very well attended and a sum in excess of £208 was raised and has been sent to the charity.

There was, as is usual for Coldridge, a wonderful array of cakes to eat and a very successful raffle was held to augment the fund-raising effort.

The prize was a beautifully worked item of quilting, designed and made by The Coldridge Quilters.

This was won by Mrs Marion Webber of Coldridge.

Helen Smith, who organises this annual event for the village, said she is very grateful for the support of all those from the parish and the surrounding district in, yet again, making this such a financial success for such a very good cause.
