A COFFEE Morning, held in the Karis Hall at the Rowell Centre in Crediton on Thursday, April 4, was a great social event with many visitors.

As well as cake and refreshments there was a raffle, a stall selling homemade jams and cakes, and a bric-a-brac stall.

The Rowell Centre, which was established at Crediton Congregational Church in 2014 is a service provider for adults with learning difficulties, is run by Sallyann Botting and Helen Cann from 10am to 3pm from Monday to Thursday.

Clients can take part in a range of activities including cooking, road safety, keeping safe, internet access, iPad and computers, shopping, socialising, exercise, healthy eating, communication skills, art and crafts and lots more.

Sallyann and Helen explained: “Our aim is to support people to access community and to provide a range of activities.

“Many of those who come along consider it to be a lifeline and they rely on the service.

“We currently have spaces for more clients, so if anyone would like to find out more they are welcome to get in touch on 07519 720647 or email: [email protected] .”
