CODS, Crediton’s Operatic and Dramatic Society, used the occasion of its AGM, to present a bumper cheque to Crediton Foodbank.

Carol Stoyle, CODS president, presented a cheque for £1,000 to representatives from the charity.

Carol said that the money was raised through bucket collections at events during the past year.

A spokesperson for the charity said the money would help feed some of those in need in the area.

The new committee is Nicky Gould Chair, Lyndsey Betts Vice Chair, Mike Canning Treasurer, Yvonne Youles Secretary, Gillian Mackenzie Minutes Secretary plus Carol Stoyle, Paul Walker, Craig Phoenix and Jo Strawbridge.

There was a welcome back to Helen Clarke and a warm welcome to four new committee members, Georgina Broadhurst-Tennant, Claire Lethbridge, Hannah Zorlu and Richard Betts.
