CREDITON Police seized an amount of Class A drugs in the town early on New Years’ Day.

Sgt Dave MacFadden stopped and searched a man in Crediton shortly after midnight, just half an hour into the New Year and tweeted an image with the following message:

"Five minutes into the new year 2016 in Crediton I stop searched a male and found this little bag of Class A on him. Oh dear."

Sgt MacFadden is the Neighbhourhood Team Leader for Crediton and Cullompton police.
