A FAMILY Fun Day, held at Newcombes Meadow in Crediton on Saturday, June 22, as part of CredFest 2019, was a huge success with large numbers of visitors enjoying the glorious sunshine.

The event, which was organised by Churches Together in Crediton, was a fun day for all the family with a bouncy castle, an inflatable obstacle course, facepainting, Scalextric, games, live music and much more. Many people stayed for hours enjoying the sunshine, the live music and all the entertainment.

Refreshments, burgers and hot dogs were available free of charge and provided by the churches in Crediton. A team of men running the three barbecues were kept busy throughout the day and over 1,000 burgers and hot dogs were served!

Thanks go to Tesco for donating some of the food and for providing three lovely staff, Andrew, John and Hannah, to serve the food.

Organiser, Sarah Preece, said “I am overwhelmed by the people from the churches in Crediton who have come together and worked so hard to make this event such a success.

“We wanted to do something special to demonstrate God’s love and bless our local community here in Crediton by providing a lovely day with everything completely free of charge.

“Thank you so much to everyone who has contributed to it!”
