Mr Foster, Teacher of PE/Outdoor Education Co-ordinator at the College explained: “The Chulmleigh College Ten Tors teams performed brilliantly, enduring some very testing conditions with the onset of the very warm weather.

After completing the Ten Tors Challenge, from Chulmleigh College, Riley Jones, Cameron Asson, Aidan Baker, Charlie Brewer, Henry Sanders and George Taylor.

“The fact that pretty much the entire training programme took place in rain, cold and high winds made the transformation in weather even more of a challenge – they just aren’t used to walking when it isn’t freezing cold!

“After an excellent first day and camping overnight in Postbridge, both teams finished strongly early on Sunday afternoon.

“They have shown resilience, determination, leadership and teamwork throughout the training and the challenge, building skills and qualities that will serve them well in the future. Congratulations to all!”
