NEWTON St Cyres Parish Church held its Christmas Fair on November 16 which was a great success with a great number of visitors, including a ginger cat.

The many stalls included a tombola, gifts, plants and vegetables, delicious refreshments and a raffle with many excellent prizes.

Newton St Cyres School’s Craft Group worked hard throughout the year to produce some beautiful Christmas decorations which they had for sale at the Christmas Fair.

The Group meet every Monday morning at Bernaville Nurseries, for their craft making, and rely on donations of wool and materials etc.

John Salter was pleased to report that the event raised a record £1,033 and thanked everyone for their help and support.
