MORE than £1,000 was raised for St Andrew’s Church at Hittisleigh on Saturday, November 30, by the Christmas Bazaar held in the Village Hall.
Most stalls sold out including the many mini Christmas cakes. All-in-all it was a very successful achievement with all the goods, baubles, stuffed reindeer, owls, etc, cakes, biscuits and other goodies made by Hittisleigh folk.
There were even little green woolly pompoms with a red crown, hand-made Brussels sprouts to hang on the Christmas tree.
The decorated Christmas tree in the hall almost reached the roof and other hand-made items included fat balls for the birds and lovely wreaths with several made from dried hydrangea heads.
