A PARENT Café was held at Hayward’s Primary School, Crediton, to encourage children from Years 3 and 4 to share their schoolwork with parents and guardians, while enjoying refreshments from the café.
Children learned about their local area through a history project and they shared their memories of Crediton, Exeter and a holiday in France.
They wrote Harvest Shape Poems on pictures of tractors, corn on the cob and bales of hay and took part in the “Great British Sandwich Challenge” during a Design and Technology project.
The children also made decorated blocks from card to portray a block of flats in the style of Austrian artist and architect Friedensreich Hundertwasser.
The Parent Café was well attended and was a good opportunity for parents and guardians to see what their children had been working on during the term.
