THE children of East Worlington Primary School were thrilled to meet the real Pudsey from the BBC, and to have one of the biggest Pudsey bears in the country as part of their fundraising event.

The school council had arranged a sponsored run to raise money for Children in Need, and they were lucky enough to have their run started by Pudsey himself.

BBC Spotlight went along to film the event having heard about the giant Pudsey bear which had been made out of bales of straw.

The children ran for an hour, completing laps of a quarter of a mile.

Altogether the children ran 211 miles, an amazing total and they are hoping to have raised more than £250.

The staff and parents were very proud of the children’s achievements.
